Childcare, First Aid & CPR for Domestic Helpers

Child Care & First Aid for Child Carers is a course specifically designed for those working with young children. Asia Medical Services Ltd teaches your helper or caregiver the key skills needed to give the best quality child care. This course was created by a demand from previous clients for high quality, practical training for their helper/ childcarer.

Your helper/childcarer has an incredibly important job - nurturing your children. They need to be given access to a wide range of up-to-date information in order to respond to children's needs and to communicate effectively with you.

We at Asia Medical Services strive to meet the training needs of early childhood carers and helpers through quality training.

The course is run over two days, or during the evening by arrangement. It includes both theory and practical sessions in a relaxed atmosphere.

The syllabus includes:

• Preventing Childhood Injuries
• Infant and Child First Aid inc First Aid Priorities, Burns & Scalds, Basic Life Support, CPR, Choking, Bleeding, Head Injuries, poisoning.
• Caring for Ill Children
• Preventing Infectious Diseases
• Learning About Child Development
• Communicating With Children and Parents
• Recording and Reporting

This course has been developed in such a way to help retain information by using a variety of teaching tools including audio-visual aids, demonstrations, role play and case scenarios. An evaluation will be made on each student through continual assessment during the course, and then discussed with the  employer.
